What is included in Program Fees
Our program fees include a wide array of services and benefits to you:
Tuition
Host Institution tuition for up to 12-15 credit-hours of accredited academic credit for semester programs and up to 6 credit hours for summer programs.
University Facilities
Full use of host institution computer, student, and athletic facilities. Generally speaking, you will have access to the services and facilities as local students.
Guaranteed Housing
Accommodation in comfortable 1, 2 or multi-bedroom apartments in host cities. Bedrooms are double-occupancy (2 students per bedroom). Your housing is guaranteed to be available and ready for you the day you arrive to start the program.
Global Learning Semesters Program Directors
English speaking local program staff on the ground in your host country to assist with orientation, day to day support and emergency services. Our program directors are critical to making your experience special.
International Travel (multi-country programs)
All of our group travel activities are included in your program fees.
- All airfare for in-program international group travel
- Ground transportation for in-program travel that is almost always by charter bus (except for day trips that might occur by train or minivan/taxi)
- Accomodation in tourist-class hotels (double-occupancy)
- Local licensed and certified tour guides at key cities or events
- All admission fees for group events, museums or exhibitions
- Program coordinators who travel with the group for logistical and safety support
- Note: You are responsible for airfare from your home town to the program site.
Host Country Excursions
Even our single-country programs have up to eight days of in-country travel and excursions
- Ground transportation for in-program travel that is almost always by charter bus (except for day trips that might occur by train or minivan/taxi)
- Accomodation in tourist-class hotels for overnight stays(double-occupancy)
- Local licensed and certified tour guides at key cities or events
- All admission fees for group events, museums or exhibitions
- Program coordinators who travel with the group for logistical and safety support
Use of Local Cell Phone
Use of a local cell phone handset during the duration of the program.
Local Orientation
An extensive multi-day briefing on the local university, city and culture to ensure you are prepared to hit the ground running when classes start and are aware of important cultural and safety issues.
Airport Transfers
All airport transfers when traveling with the group.
Insurance
Insurance for overseas medical expenses, medical evacuation and repatriation. This insurance covers up to $100,000 of medical expenses, unlimited amount of medical evacuation expenses and up to $20,000 in repatriation expenses.
Academic and Financial Aid Advising
US-based phone and email support to assist you with credit transfer and financial aid processing.
Pre-Departure Support
Briefings, material and phone support from our experience team to ensure you are prepared for your study abroad experience
Reentry Advice
A "reverse orientation" designed to ease your transition back into your home institution and the United States
Career and Alumni Services
