Travel Arrangements
You are responsible for making your own travel arrangements to and from your host country at the beginning and end of the program. For some of our programs, we designate a suggested group flight or travel date at the beginning of the program. Students that arrive on this flight (or at the same time as this flight) will have complimentary airport transfer to the student housing.
Students that arrive and depart independently are responsible for making their own travel arrangements from the airport to student housing.
There are several resources to finding affordable airfare. See our section on Air Travel as a starting guide.
Eurail Passes
You will not need a Eurail Pass while on any of our programs. However, if you plan to travel in Europe before or after the program, then you might want to consider buying one of these passes. Since these passes cannot be purchased once you are abroad, it is necessary to plan ahead.
Eurail Passes are the most common railroad passes in Europe. A wide variety is available, enabling you to travel to many European countries, in whatever time frame you desire. They range from the 17-country pass to individual country passes, and from 7 days to 3 months. Some useful websites include: www.raildeals.com or www.railsaver.com.
Living Arrangements
Global Semesters students will stay in housing provided by Global Learning Semesters. All rooms are fully-furnished and the standard is double occupancy (two students to a bedroom). The type of accommodation varies by host location and could include dormitories or off-campus apartments. You do not need to arrange your own housing for our programs.
