Summer in Europe: European Union

Curriculum and Faculty

There will be two courses offered on this program that, together, will provide a solid fundamental introduction to European culture and to the European Union.

All applicants should aim to receive course pre-approval for the core curriculum of the program from their home institution.

Course Curriculum

EUS-210: European Cultures (3 credit hours)
EUS-105: Intro to the European Union (3 credit hours)

* NOTE: The University of Nicosia appears on the syllabi under its former name - Intercollege.

Teaching Methods
  • All courses on the Summer in Europe: European Union program are University of Nicosia courses taught by University of Nicosia faculty using University of Nicosia syllabi on the University of Nicosia campus. The University of Nicosia issues the transcript for this program.
  • Courses are taught on an intensive schedule and meet for approximately 7 hours per week for the five weeks that students are in Cyprus for a total of 42 hours of classroom contact hours.
  • While the travel portion is a required part of this program and linked to the curriculum, it is not-for-credit.
