Program Description

The Summer in Cyprus: Geology program is designed for geology students who would like the opportunity to study Cyprus, a geologically interesting country. The Troodos massif is probably the most intensively studied and best known ophiolite in the world.

Ophiolites are terrestrial fragments of ancient oceanic lithosphere formed at fossil
constructive plate margins. This program will combine academic work with guided field excursions to Troodos and other geologically important sites in Cyprus
