The University of Paris - Sorbonne Paris IV (often known as the Sorbonne) was founded in 1253 and is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the world. The Sorbonne has over 25,000 students, including several thousand international students from around the world. The University of Paris IV is an official state institution monitored by the French Ministry of Education.
Global Learning Semesters students attend the Cours de Civilisation Française de la Sorbonne, an institute that teaches French language and culture to thousands of international students annually. It is probably the best-known academic French language program in the world.
The Sorbonne is located in the bohemian Latin Quarter, a neighborhood known for its bistros, cafés and intellectual liveliness. Named after the language spoken in the area up until the French Revolution, this section of Paris’s 5th arrondissement includes wonderful sites such as the Panthéon, the Luxembourg Gardens, and the Churches of Saint-Sulpice and Saint-Germain-de-Près.
American Business School in Paris
The American Business School (ABS) Paris offers majors in International Business, International Marketing and International Finance. Its programs are international in scope, allowing its students to add a valuable global dimension to their business studies. More than half of its student body consists of international students from Europe and the rest of the world.
The ABS is located at 12 rue Alexandre Parodi, 10th arrondissement, near the Louis Blanc metro station. Its modern main campus includes a library, cafeteria, amphitheaters, classrooms, computer labs, wireless internet connection, and access to premier sports facility at the Centre Départemental de Formation et d'Animations Sportives.

The University of Paris - Sorbonne Paris IV is an official state institution monitored by the French Ministry of Education.
The ABS business program is accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE), a US accrediting agency.
Teaching Model

The teaching model at the Sorbonne has a heavy emphasis on language instruction, including grammar and phonetic training. Depending on their language level, students additionally attend a variety of content seminars focused on cultural and societal issues.
At the American Business School, all business courses are taught in English by an international faculty and the program’s design allows students to focus on their own academic interests and career goals on an individualized basis. Team work and international case studies contribute to the students’ acquisition of multicultural competencies.
