Semester in Belize
Admission Requirements
We look for energetic, motivated students who are excited by the opportunity to spend time exploring a unique country and culture.
The minimum requirements* for participating on the Semester in Belize program are:
- You are currently a student in good standing at an accredited college or university in the United States, Canada or selected other countries
- You have maintained a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
- You will have at least sophomore academic standing by the time you participate in the program and will have completed at least one academic year at your home institution.
- You have an interest and appreciation for the rewards and challenges of studying in a developing nation and conducting field work. San Ignacio is a small town in the highlands of Belize and is not comparable to a United States "city environment". Applicants for this program should look forward to and enjoy outdoor activities.
