Curriculum and Faculty

Global Learning Semesters is partnered with the Universidad de Belgrano for our Semester in Argentina: Latin American Studies program. Our host institution is fully accredited and will provide the transcript for students successfully completing academic course work.

Students enrolled in the program obtain official credit from the Universidad de Belgrano. The semesters last for 14 weeks (Fall) and 12 weeks (Spring) and students will receive 14-15 credits in Spanish language courses.

Students are expected to select the Spanish language course at their appropriate level.

Fall Curriculum (select 1)

For the Fall Semester, students must select one of the following levels.

• Programa nivel Básico
• Programa nivel Intermedio I
• Programa nivel Intermedio II
• Programa nivel Avanzado

Students will spend:

• 14 weeks in class, 3 hours daily for a total of 210 contact hours (14 credits).

Spring Curriculum (select 2)

For the Spring Semester, students must select two of the following levels.

• Programa nivel Básico
• Programa nivel Intermedio I
• Programa nivel Intermedio II
• Programa nivel Avanzado

Students will spend:

• 8 weeks in class, 3 hours daily for a total of 120 contact hours (8 credits) at their first chosen level
• 4 weeks in class, 5 hours daily for a total of 100 contact hours (7 credits) for their second chosen level
