Parsons Paris was founded in 1921 by Frank Alvah Parsons to provide the
highest standard of American education to students wishing to pursue
fine arts and design degree options in Europe. Parsons Paris offers
students from over forty countries an interdisciplinary course of study
and a focus on widespread dissemination of visual culture.
Parsons
Paris is ideally equipped for the modern artist. Skylit art studios,
photography darkrooms, printmaking areas, fashion ateliers, computer
labs and an in-house exhibition space, are some of the facilities
available to students. Additionally, students have access to extensive
library facilities. Small class sizes allow for close interaction with
professors and peers.
Accreditation
Parsons Paris is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art & Design (NASAD).
Teaching Model
Parsons Paris is designed on the American semester model and uses US
standards for grading, contact hours and credit hours. Courses are
taught in English.

Host City Description
Paris is justifiably famous for being a vibrant, beautiful and cosmopolitan city with world-class museums, art, culture, businesses, nightlife and restaurants. Paris also benefits from an impressive metro system that makes it very feasible for students to explore all of central Paris. The 5th arrondissement, where the Sorbonne is located, is in the Latin Quarter which has a large and active student population and is located in the heart of the city.
Overall, Paris is very much an urban environment that will appeal most to those looking for a big-city, fast-paced experience.
