Curriculum and Faculty
Overview The curriculum of this
study abroad program consists of host institution courses open to local students. Courses are taught by host institution faculty and include subjects like: Cultural Heritage, World History, Cultural Geography, Art History and European Cultures. The curriculum provides the framework for the whole semester and for integrating the co-curricular activities.

The courses for this
study abroad program will be taught by home institution faculty at the University of Nicosia.
Elective Curriculum

Teaching Methods
- All courses on the Global Semester: World Cultures study abroad program are University of Nicosia courses taught by University of Nicosia faculty using University of Nicosia syllabi on the University of Nicosia campus. The University of Nicosia issues the transcript for this program.
- Courses are taught on an intensive schedule and meet for approximately 5 hours per week for the eight weeks that students are in Cyprus for a total of 42 hours of classroom contact hours.
- Students complement their in-class instruction with about 4 weeks of on-the-ground travel to important cultural and archaeological sites in Athens, Rome, New Delhi, Bangalore, Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong.
- While the travel portion is a required part of this study abroad program and linked to the curriculum, it is not-for-credit.
